Sandra León is at the University of Cologne for a one month research stay during April 2017 and supports the research project “Decentralization and Electoral Geographies” funded by the DFG. Sandra León brings her competence on accountability chains in multi-level systems to the project. Accordingly, we assess the relationship between decentralization causing an enlarged policy space, potentially leading to fragmented political landscapes.

Sandra León gave a speech about her research agenda on 18th of April (17.45-19.15, S100 IBW) as well as a seminar for master and doctoral students (Auditing federalism. The virtues and perils of decentralized governance).
