Brief portrait

Hannah Pfanzelt studied European Studies at Maastricht University, Netherlands. Afterwards she received her master’s degree in Political Science and Empirical Social Research from the University of Cologne. Her research focusses on the comparative analysis of women’s representation in political institutions. In her master’s thesis she compared women’s representation in Germany’s local parliaments and statistically analyzed the reasons for the great variance in the political representation of women between the parliaments.

During her studies she worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Comparative Politics (Prof. Dr. André Kaiser). Since August 2014 she works there as a researcher.
