Christopher Wratil has published a new article with Giulia Pastorella (LSE) as online first version in the European Journal of Politcal Research. In their paper "Dodging the bullet: How crises trigger technocrat-led governments", they analyze more than 460 government formations in 29 European countries since the late 1970's and find that political and economic crises systematically enable shifts towards governments led by technocrats.
